On the 18 & 19th March the second pre season test got under way with Henry Surtees at the wheel for Team JVA. New to the legendary Imola venue; Henry got off to a steady start, continuing to learn both the Masters car and the circuit. On the first day Surtees completed 58 laps, with a fastest time of 01.39.045.
The second day a saw vast improvement from the rookie; working with his father and the JVA engineer to finish the morning session 5th with a 01.37.844. In the afternoon session Henry completed a further 34 laps retaining the 5th fastest time of the test.
Elsewhere; 2008 Champion Chris Van Der Drift was on hand to further develop the 2009 Tatuus brakes ducts, saying he was “very impressed with the additional engine power and braking performance over the previous years.”
